The new Leica SL (Typ 601) is a brand new mirrorless system camera with a full frame sensor and a resolution of 24MP. The SL can't be described as a Compact System Camera because it has a very heavy and robust body built by a milling machine out of a massive aluminum block and is comparable to the size of a standard SLR system.

Leica has just unveiled a stylish new rangefinder camera set created in collaboration with rock star Lenny Kravitz: the Leica M-P “Correspondent” by Kravitz Design. The set includes a Leica M-P digital rangefinder camera and two classic Leica lenses: a Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH and a Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH, delivered as a set in a bespoke case.

Leica turned back the clock (again) on its digital rangefinders today, announcing the M Edition 60 model that has no LCD screen on back, just a dial to adjust ISO. The limited edition camera (there will only be 600 made), which celebrates the 60th anniversary of Leica’s M series rangefinders, was unveiled by Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Leica’s chairman, at a press conference at the photokina show in Germany this morning.

Long Exposure Noise Reduction is very helpful feature available in most modern digital cameras, including interchangeable lens models and many full-featured compacts. But as you'll see in the following tutorial from the Photo Genius YouTube channel, leaving this setting turned on by default will hold you back in certain situations.
