Even in the California desert, the hummingbird can find itself beautifully camouflaged while it sits in it's small nest. These soft and suttle colors were an unexpected joy to see in the mostly barren vegetation around the Taquitz Canyon. Here, keeping the bird in the center brings it into focus.
