The oldest desert in the world is in Namibia. It stretches from the Atlantic coast inland for hundreds of miles. A area that is open to visitors begins on the east side of the desert and heads west. About halfway in you reach an area called Sossusvlei where dune hiking is popular. Here I managed to capture a photo of two hikers heading up a dune with lawn chairs getting set up to view the setting sun. This is an amazing area and well worth a visit. It was 105 deg F and early October. Camera was a Canon 7D with a Canon 100-400mm f4.5/5.6 zoom lens at 105mm on a tripod. Settings as follows. Aperture was 5.6, speed was 1/80 sec and ISO was 100
