The fog was thick on January 4, 2020 in the Princeton area. A favorite spot is Kingston Mill, in Kingston, New Jersey. Like certain Impressionists who liked to paint the same scene in different seasons and weather conditions, this spot yields those kinds of opportunities. While the atmosphere was fine, finding the heron perched on the dam made the image.

Taken with Nikon D7500 and Nikon 18-55mm lens,Focal length was 55mm, exposure 1/40 sec, f/5.6, ISO 100. Was processed through Lightroom, using dehazing filter to bring out detail in the upper right, and used Photoshop Silver program to transform to black and white.
