This image was shot in a home studio environment as a personal project. It is a composite of a foam skull overlayed with a shot of incense smoke. Both shots were taken with a Nikon D700 and a Nikkor 105mm macro lens at ISO 2500. for the skull, the aperture was f/3.0 at 1/320 sec and for the smoke, the aperture was also f/3.0 at 1/50 sec. the light source was a tungsten light with an orange gel and shot against a black background. Both images were composited in Adobe Photoshop.
