Burnside Bridge crosses Antietam Creek southeast of Sharpsburg, Maryland. It was built in 1836 for a cost of $3200 and played a major role in the Battle of Antietam in September 1862. The bridge was closed between October 2015 and December 2016 for structural repairs and has since reopened to the public.
