I was visiting Stone Harbor Point NJ one day after an afternoon rain shower. The late afternoon light had a pleasant warmness to it and this gull had been walking along parallel to me so I decided to take his picture. He reminded me of an old, scruffy, and salty fisherman. The warm light really brought out his character! This image was taken with a Canon 7D Mark II and an EF 400mm f/5.6L lens at 400mm, f/8, 1/1000 sec, and ISO 400.
