This nesting pair of great egrets was photographed at the Audubon Swamp Garden at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC. I watched the male bird bring sticks back to his mate to construct their nest. The overcast light helped to tame the exposure of those white feathers. Image was taken with a Canon 5D Mark III and an
