This photo was actually taken in the morning between 6:30 and 7:00 AM just before I left for work. I glanced out my picture window and saw this beautiful Great Blue. Luckily, I keep the Cannon at the ready for any surprise visitors in my backyard. I quietly opened the door to the lanai and captured it through the screen with the zoom lens so as not to disturb it. I knew if I opened the screen door I would lose my opportunity. The result is a happy surprise! Everyone who sees the print thinks it it a painting! Canon PowerShot SX40 HS; F-stop: f/5.8, exposure time 1/200 sec, ISO-200, Focal length 145mm; Max aperture 5.0625; Metering Mode: Pattern
