This photo was taken right after the early morning lunar eclipse on January 31, 2018. This location was selected as the plan in mind to frame the moon inside the Mobius Arch and above Mt. Whitney during the total phase of the eclipse. The event was followed up by an Alpine Glow on Mt. Whitney, which is a double treat that historic morning.
