I'm fortunate to live within an hour's driving distance of several wildlife refuges in California's San Joaquin Valley. The San Luis National Wildlife Refuge, in addition to migratory birds and a large herd of Tule Elk, has an abundance of raptors. Not at all camera shy, I took several shots of this Red-tailed hawk from my car.
