I was lodging in Moscow Idaho to photograph The Palouse, eastern part of Washington State, now a popular location for photographers. On my daily trip to The Palouse seeing this barn, I couldn't help but wonder why this barn was left the way it was, not demolished and removed, because the vast farmland surrounding was meticulously cultivated and maintained. Obviously the barn was not being used as originally built for. Then I heard someone say it was left that way for photographers so they can stop to take pictures. I'm not sure if that's true, but if it is, I salute to the farmers of Washington for their kindness. Canon EOS 40D, Tamron 18-270mm lens @119mm, 1/60 sec, f/13, ISO 200, May 2013.
