I had a few moments to walk the streets of Oak Bluffs on Nantucket when the light was sweet. For many years the Boston Pops has given a benefit performance for the Nantucket Cottage Hospital and as a member of the orchestra, I was afforded the opportunity to spend a few hours on the island. As I walked by, I was amused by the use of well worn shoes as decoration and appreciated the colors and textures of the scene. The image was made using a Canon 5D with an EF24-105L IS USM lens at 105mm. The exposure was made at 1/15th sec. at F 8.
