I'll be bold and admit it. I want a photo of mine on the cover of Shutterbug - really, who wouldn't? Here, I broke two of my most strict rules by taking this image: first, I'm a mid-day snob and don't usually shoot outside of the golden and blue hours; second, I try to avoid iconic, over-photographed subjects. However, I was on a photography workshop and we were lead to this sight in the Hoh Rain forest in Olympic National Park. So, I shot it and I'm reasonably pleased with the outcome. It's a 5 image panorama shot vertically and was stitched and processed in Photoshop and NIK. Equipment: Canon 5DMKIII, Canon 24-105 lens, steadied on a Really Right Stuff tripod.
