The approaching Durango-Silverton locomotive was photographed using a Nikon D7000 with a 70–300 mm Nikkor VR lens at 300 mm. Exposure was f/8 and 1/1000 sec (ISO 400). The photo was taken from a position on the tracks (at a safe distance) during an early morning train run.
