Castillo de San Marcos was built in 1695 (16th century) and is the oldest structure built by non natives (the Spanish) in America. The fort sits in Saint Augustine, Florida. I came here for the week for the 4th of July celebration and really wanted to capture the fireworks over the fort. I am a huge history buff and for me, it couldn't get any better. I got here 4 hours before the fireworks went off to grab the spot I wanted.
