On a cold November day in the mountains in Idaho, family members traversed up a forest path to a natural hot springs area. The outside temperature was about 5 degrees, while the hot springs were at least bath water temperature. The trees around us were covered in ice and frost. I took the photo of my daughter in the springs, and added layers of snow-covered trees, sunlight, and ice in her hair.
