I had an afternoon to myself last summer so I decided to take a drive through the North Eastern California Desert (the journey even sneaked into Nevada for a bit and I'm not positive what state I was in when I shot this as the dirt roads are clearly marked and I didn't have my GPS with me). I thought this scene of the Union Pacific tracks headed to the sunset was striking.
