Every Saturday morning I take my daughter to orchestra practice. The rehearsal takes place in a building that is part of a multipurpose public space in a prosperous inner city area in Brisbane.
It is a space used by many but loved by no-one. I felt a truth about ourselves here that we would all like to ignore! Something about greed and facades. I was drawn to the emptiness of the scene and the shadow cast on the sign which seemed to highlight the duality and contradiction I felt in this place.
