I work on various cruise ships as an acupuncture physician which allows me to photograph much the world. This is my fourth summer in Alaska and every other week we passed by the Hubbard Glacier. Sometimes we could not get close enough due to the amount of ice in the water, sometimes the timing was off and it was not calving and then every now and then it all came together....
