As the sun started to fade behind the Great Smoky Mountains, light began to slowly fade along the ridge line. There was just enough light for me to be able to pick up some detail in the valley below and the sky began to light up this beautiful Tennessee orange. You can see a couple cars on the lower portion of the Newfound Gap road, which helps provide a scale to the surroundings.
