I pulled in to one of the best overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Waterrock Knob Visitor Center in North Carolina. A large crowd gathered to watch the sun set and sure enough after the sun made its way behind the Great Smoky Mountains, the crowd left. I thought to myself, the show is just beginning. Do these people not know about the beautiful color that comes out after the sun sets. I took this shot of what appeared to me as endless waves of an oceans, but in reality it was just the beautiful rows of mountains. The mountains turned this intense blue, it was just amazing. I had set up for this shot about an hour prior to taking this and just waited for the right moment.
