I know I myself and many of you locally are consumed with thoughts about the fire today in Yarnell, Arizona (or many of the other fires currently burning), but I hope you can enjoy a photo of tonight's sunset in Prescott: "Against All Odds:" This little tree sprouted and subsequently grew from a crevice in the rock. The water levels in this lake have risen and dropped throughout the years, but I don't think it typically ever reaches the level of its roots. Yet somehow, and thankfully, it keeps growing . . . against all odds.
