While doing some wandering on the Maumee Bay State Park boardwalk I came across an Eastern Screech Owl box, and inside were three young Owlets. I've always had a soft spot for Owls, and even more so for their young. Such inquisitive creatures. I spent nearly 45 minutes just watching them move inside the box, all vying for a spot to stare at the large, odd looking bearded thing clicking away outside the only home they've ever known. It was an outstanding experience. Hopefully I'll have a chance to return and see them outside that box, exploring their new world. Photos made with my Canon 7D Mark ii and Canon 200-400mm f/4 lens. Props to Canon Professional Services for the loan of the lens, your service is much appreciated and top notch!
