This photo was taken at Bass Lake in Blowing Rock, NC. I went out to Bass Lake at dawn to get some pictures of Woodducks but there were no Woodducks present this morning. I scouted around the lake to get the best early light and captured this image as the early sun shone on the almost leafless trees. I thought the leaves in the water and the morning sky added interest and composition to the picture.
The image was taken with a Nikon 810 camera with a 16-28 mm lens at 1/20 sec., f 2.8 with a tripod.
