Three days prior to the November Full Moon, I began calculating where the moon would rise in relationship to the top of Superstition Mountain. On my first attempt that evening, I positioned myself in the desert and waited. I caught this shot of the moon as it was rising above a group of Hoodoos (tall stone spires) on the ridgeline.
