'Third Eye' was a blue dahlia, shot in complete darkness in my studio, using a single hand held halogen light and 'very' long exposures (20-30 seconds) to allow the light to literally pass thru the leaves!
It often takes days to capture the perfect shot ... It is a process which many refer to as 'The Dance.' Sometimes I get lucky and the flower will reveal it's essence - most time's, not. This time, with 'Third Eye,' it was pure magic.
