March 23, 2015 was summit day on Kilimanjaro. This picture is of Mount Mawenzi, taken at an approximate altitude of 16, 500feet; while we were on our way to up to Uhuru Peak on Kilimanjaro (19, 341 feet). Mount Mawenzi is on of the volcanic cones of Kilimanjaro. This is the sunrise coming up from under the clouds behind Mount Mawenzi. It was absolutely breathtaking!
