I shot this old homestead together with a group of other photographers, many of which had wonderful images and altogether different perspectives. The overall feeling of the place was that life was difficult and stark. I shot with a wide angle lens to capture the open space and wind-blown trees to enhance the stark feeling. The image was shot with a Nikon D800E and Zeiss ZF 25mm f2.8 lens. Exposure settings were 1/320 sec at f/8 and ISO 400.
