I thought my summer of camping and backpacking was over when I tore my meniscus in my right knee. But at one point I became pretty antsy and wanted to get out, so I decided to do a bit of car camping in Southern Utah. I camped near Panguitch Lake and set up my camera at my campsite to capture the milky way before the moon would rise. I only had a pretty narrow window of an hour and a half, but was able to capture this shot. I also lit the foreground with my headlamp.
