American Bison, local Buffalo, in our neck of the woods. We live very close to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal & Wildlife Refuge. We love to go view the resident herd that has grown immensely since they were reintroduced to the area a few years ago. Just before sunset, the herd returns to the usual spot, across the road, sometimes right in front of you. But please heed the warnings, and do not get out of your car! This huge bull was just alongside the road, great light on his eyes. The color version of this photo was a bit overexposed, but in B&W, with a few adjustments, it really changed my view!
