Snowy Owls have irrupted into our area again this year. As the sun was rising, I was privileged to photograph this female Snowy Owl, who has been nicknamed Dirty Girl because of the dark feathers on one side of her face and her feet. It has been a five year journey to get close enough to photograph a Snowy Owl without baiting one. She went about her business preening and eventually fell asleep atop her favourite perch.
