This is a photo taken at Dawson Creek Park in Hillsboro, Oregon of a male Northern Pintail in mating plumage. I focused in on this bird and waited until he flapped his wings and emerged out of the water, clearly showing wonderful color and the pintail. I used a Nikon D 7100 with a Tamron Zoom Lens (150-600 mm.)attached to a Manfrotto heavy duty tripod. The ISO was 1600, F/6.3, with a 1/4000th second exposure. The focal length was 600 mm.
