This image was made by Gary Larsen in Denver, CO in 1999 using a Nikon F100 body and a Nikon 80-200mm lens with a circular polarizer. The film was Kodak Elitechrome 100 and the exposure was unrecorded. The slide was later scanned on a Nikon Super Coolscan 5000. I was particularly struck by the simple composition and the bright golden color of the Aspen tree against the intense complementary blue color of the building in the late afternoon sunlight. The triangular tree contrasted with all the small rectangles on the building. The digital image was processed in Photoshop CS5 with only a little sharpening and noise reduction.
