I was staying in San Luis Obispo, and decided to get up early to make the 30 minute drive to the small coastal town of Cayucos to watch the sun rise. I captured the image using my Nikon D7000 and Nikkor 12-24mm lens with the following settings: ISO 200, 24mm, f/22 at 30.0 sec. The camera was resting on my SLIK Pro 700DX tripod. At f/22 I was able to get the entire pier in sharp focus as it extends into the Pacific Ocean.
