This was an October Sunset at a fairly popular local park: Moonstone County Park, located about 3 miles south of Trinidad, on the northern California Coast. I had gone there to photograph the shoreline at sunset because of the nice rock formations on the beach. I finished shooting my images and put my gear away. As I was walking back to the car, I turned around for one last look at the beach. When I saw this silhouette,I gasped, immediately dropped my tripod, fumbled in my camera bag and slapped a 70-180 Zoom macro lens onto a Nikon D600 body. I fired off as many shots as I could before the group changed position. According to the EXIF data, I shot this at ISO 6400, f/16 @ 1/80th second, zoomed out to 180mmm.
