While wandering through the Linlithgow Palace ruins west of Edinburgh, Scotland, I focused on patterns and textures. This circular tower had wonderful texture, thanks to the overcast sky, but that also limited the impact due to the white sky that resulted in the opening. Two images from my files gave me a chance to make a juxtaposition of images that lend themselves to a musing on how far we have come in 400 years.
