Walking on Race Point Beach Cape Cod, MA I saw this driftwood tree washed up on the beach. It was sun bleached and covered in seaweed. I knew it would make for a great B&W photo with all of the contrasting detail and twists of the roots. It wasn't until working with it in processing I noticed the carvings.
