India is the land of Farmers. Even though agriculture happens to be a major occupation in India, it does not generate a stable income for the average farmer. It's a rain dependent activity, and with all the modern scientific advancement, we'd soon end up having genetically engineered rice and wheat, that would render the profession futile.
