You Don't Need a Weatherman to Know Which Way the Wind Blows. (Thanks to Bob Dylan. Subterranean Homesick Blues)
This was taken at the top of Old Donner Pass Highway in California. You can see the effect of the ever present wind on the trees from oldest to youngest as it blows out of the west. The wind was the reason for the relatively high shutter speed for a shot of rocks and trees. Basic adjustments were made in Lightroom and black and white conversion in Nik Silver Efex2. The sky was a bright, featureless blue so I added a red filter in post to darken the sky and add contrast to the trees and rocks.
