Each year, hundreds of thousands of geese, cranes and other waterfowl spend the winter in California's central valley, a respite on the Pacific Flyway. Here a group of Snow geese fly into the afternoon sun at the Merced National Wildlife Refuge. Amazing to see and hear these gatherings.
