I encountered a group of ravens in Manning Park, British Columbia, this past winter during a driving break. This particular one sat on the snowbank right in front of me and just watched me take photos. I had just grabbed my camera with the lens already attached, which was my 50 mm. This guy let me get real close for some amazing photos. He seemed so wise. I love seeing the different patterns, colors, and shapes of feathers in a bird that we assume is just all black!
Canon 5D MarkII, 50 mm lens, f/4.5, 1/100, ISO 100.
