The White Rocks are a mountain chain that has a lot of exposed rock along the top, settlers that went through the Cumberland Gap used this as a trail marker. Once they could see the White Rocks, they knew they were within a days walk to the gap. This is one of the many farms along the White Rocks area that know set along the old Wilderness Road that was blazed by those pioneers lead by Daniel Boone.
