There is something absolutely thrilling to be standing there facing literally thousands of birds flying directly towards you. It's like something out of Batman, only not horrifying dark flying creatures of the night but beautiful very cute if not a bit stupid little quails. One big covey, their wings creating one huge startling wind which whirls and whooshes as it passes over your ears, a never-ending exhilarating instant that happens all around you, with you right in middle of it all. Truly a breathtaking and magical moment.
