I went to New York city in 2009, I had just gotten into photography and had only been doing a couple years. I ended up staying with an old college friend at his apartment. Late one afternoon I went we went up to the top of his building, they had a nice seating area up there to observe the city. I ended up grabbing some shots of all of the buildings, this is one from that rooftop. As I observed the area, I noticed this water tower. It really stood out to me and I remember thinking it did not fit into this environment. I see them a lot here in East Tennessee and was kind of shock to me at the time.
