This is a heavily altered shot. It started with a lightly foggy night on a road next to an Albertson's grocery store. I saw someone in the distance apparently walking a dog in the fog.
I had to remove several parking lot overhead lights, delete some signs, squeeze the road width by moving the trees closer and increased the "fog". I wanted to make it look like a country road rather than in the heart of a city.
It was raining. So, it was shot through the windshield of my car with a Nikon P610. The hardest part was trying to make the instrument panel top, the hood and the windshield wipes look like something else, hopefully mud ruts and piled mud along the roadside.
A number of plug-in art brushes were used to give it a more painterly look.
