Vrelo Bune (The spring of the river Buna) is the strongest karst spring in Europe and it is located 12 kilometers from Mostar. Above the spring there is a 200 meters high stone cliff that towers over it and it represents an unforgettable sight for the visitors. A cold and clean water flows from the 15 meters wide cave. The place is named Blagaj or Stjepangrad and near the famous spring a Dervish Tekke was built in the 16th century and today it represents the most mystical place in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Dervish Tekke in Blagaj is one of the most important cultural and historical monuments in the country. It was built 600 years ago, around 1446, by the dervishes from Anatolia. It is opened for visitors throughout the year.
