The original photo was taken from a foot bridge on one of the city's many canals. As a straight photo, I felt it looked like a work of art that had been desecrated. There shouldn't have been women in modern dress; nor should there have been a boat with an outboard motor. Yet I didn't want to alter the photo to the point of being something other than what it was. I did not add or remove anything from the original photo. I simply optimized its features through Photoshop manipulation...primarily by posterizing the image.
