This is April, a young Florida Panther rescued and well cared at Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida. A non-profit organization giving shelter, care, food, and love for life to animals in distress. I am a proud volunteer bringing awareness of their silent work through my photography - www.flamingogardens.org

Many thanks to the Editors and Shutterbug for selecting "Veiled" as Photo of the Day. Much appreciated!
Since taking this shot it became one of my favorites, moreover because April is no longer with us and will always be remember. Flamingo Gardens gave her a home, much care, and lots of love. Unfortunately her injuries took a toll on her and hope she is in peace.
