Desmond Road, just north of the Consumnes River Preserve near Thornton, CA, is a favorite site to photograph migratory birds as they make their way south for the winter. This particular day was overcast, cold, and wet. I was in my car and began taking a few photos of this group of Greater White-fronted geese. As I was about to drive off, I noticed an approaching goose that was decending towards the group. Just as the one was about to land, the one in front began to rear up. I selected this shot from a short burst as a good example of a wildlife Photo Bomb.
